My 1st Year...

This post is dedicated to my husband, my lover, my friend, my hero, my knight in shining armor. We've now been married one whole year as of today. So much has happened this past year, I would not trade it for anything else. Our love is still burning for each other ever so brightly, I still lay awake at night and watch you sleep peacefully, I am thankful for each day I am given to be with you, I love falling asleep next to you and waking up every morning next to you. God himself created our love for each other, and on June 6th, 2008, the angels in heaven were singing with joy when I walked down the aisle to become your wife. I will never forget our wedding day for as long as I live, the weather was perfect, you looked so handsome, and I was so certain that I was doing something right. When I was standing up at the altar with you, I felt so much at peace, I felt unbelievably calm, I felt God all around us as we were giving the most sacred vows known to humans. My love, I am in love with you, and my love for you reaches as far as God allows it to reach, which is eternity. I give myself to you completely and willingly. You are my purpose, my existence. I want to give you children someday, give you great memories in the future, I want to grow old with you, enjoy our grandchildren together, so many things I want to experience with you, taking on the world as man and wife. We now have one year of marriage in our hearts, and I pray to God that we will have 60+ more to hold dear to our hearts. I love you Joseph Andrew Knitter, and I will forever say "I do".

Any Plans?

I am so excited! My first year anniversary is this saturday!!! Woot! What am I gonna do??? wine tasting at the city Zoo, romantic dinner for two at the restaurant where we both had our very first date...a cute italian bistro where it had real good italian food. We might go for a dip in a pool, if it's real hot that day, and the exchange of gifts for each other, what did I get him??? I got him a gift card to hasting's, a book store, where I know it will come in handy when he is buying his Brian Jaques series...he loves to read those fantasy books! what did he get me??? I have no idea!

UPDATE!!!

Sorry for the very long absence, my fellow blogging friends! I have been busier than ever! So much has happened in this past month...where do I start? I recently got a new job working as an assistant manager in training for Claire's, a jewelry store...It's going well, and I just love my new boss. My brother-in-law, Jake just graduated high school, I missed his graduation though since I had to work that day...my hubby and I are preparing to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary! I was just looking at our wedding album today and couldn't believe how time really does fly! My sister-in-law's pregnancy is going well, she will be 5 months along in late May, still don't know if it's a boy or a girl just yet...my husband applied for a higher paying position with verizon wireless in regional sales, hope he gets the position!!!! (lots of prayers please!!!) if he gets this position, we can finally start saving for a down payment on a house, which we want built brand new in the country side, and also the sooner we can start considering having little darlins of our own! (that might be another year or so, we want a dog first) and we have been having a little visitor almost everyday for the past few consecutive days...a stray cat somehow climbs all the way up to our balcony, which is up on the 3rd floor! and he just lounges there until it gets dark, then he leaves for the night, but my 2 cats don't like our guest very well, so consequently, they get real upset, and hide for hours at a time...well, I can't think of anything else for now...lots can happen in one month's time evidently...

A Tribute To Dan

Sad news...last night my husband and I found out that the night before, a family friend, Dan W. has passed away...he was in failing health for at least a year, but now he is in heaven with no more suffering...Prayers need to rise up for his surviving wife, Coni...They have been married for over 50 years. Dan was "Santa Claus" during all those Christmases when my husband was a child. He had a jovial laugh, funny personality, and he loved to drink, eat, and be merry...I had the pleasure of knowing him for several years, and it's such a loss here on earth without him...

I am having a girls night out with my new friends, Amy, Corey, Samantha, and Jessica...Amy is having a kitchen party and I was invited as the newbie of the group...last saturday was 80's night, but tonight is just casual and hanging out kind of fun...I just love my new group of girlfriends! they rock!

My Mother, My Friend

The best looking mother of the bride ever! there's me and my mom June 6, 2008 on my wedding day...

Mom, material gifts may be fun to get on birthdays, but words are the most precious gifts of all...I love you mom, you are my angel, my warrior, my family, my friend, my inspiration, my role model, and my hero. You are what they would describe as the true definition of "mother" in the dictionary...you love me, you sacrifice for me, you hurt for me, you know every wound, every memory, every strength, and weakness...we may have had our mother daughter battles, and our mother daughter triumphs. as the years go by, I can see us only becoming closer and closer, I understand why you did what you did raising me, and I only hope that I can be even half the mother you are with my own children someday. It's not just birthdays and mothers days, I recognize this every day of my life...I love you mommy, and I hope today is a lovely day for you, of course I will give you a call, and convey my wishes...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Today is my mom's birthday, and I made a special etsy tribute to her...the pillow shown here is called "The Jenny Flower Pillow" and I named it after her due to her birthday, and of course I made this pillow on her birthday...hope your day is special, mom! I can't wait to give you our birthday presents on Easter!

Cabochons Galore!

These new flower cabochon brooches are for sale in my etsy shop, along with my new fabric bracelets...I had so much fun with these...I kept the light pink and the yellow one for myself....I spent good money on these, and I couldn't see all of them go away! In a few days, I will have more brooches and many flower cabochon rings posted on my etsy site! God bless my creativity! Thank you God and Mom! (It's in the genetics)

My New Book

My Next Project...

The duvet cover...my next project for my own home...Since me and my husband have a king sized bed, I have to order a total of 12 yards of fabric for this project! That's a lot of fabric! I do want to use maybe Amy Butler fabric, I haven't seen my "fabric calling" yet...

Something New...

I have been busy as a little bumblebee...researching, brainstorming, and preparing for something new to come in my etsy shop...I believe I have not only hit a market niche with my pillows, which I am still very devoted to selling, but I have found another hidden market niche in the jewelry world...THAT'S RIGHT!!!! Y'ALL HEARD ME CORRECTLY!!! I am starting to sell jewelry! just rings for now, they are the easiest to make, I just got done purchasing a whole bunch of cabochon roses and various assortment of cabochon flowers, and I am fully confident that these will sell as well as my pillows are selling...I'm going to start by selling 24 rings, and see how it goes in a couple of weeks...the ring pictured, I didn't make that one, I bought that one, and this very ring inspired me to do just that! sell, sell, SELL! I call this ring my lucky ring...I wear it almost every day now...Wish me luck everyone, hope this small $50.00 minxden investment brings me thousands in the future!

A Nice day Outside...

Me and my 2 kitties went out onto our balcony to take in the 70 degree weather. I always enjoy sitting out on my balcony with my cats hanging out by my side....it's one of my slices of instant heaven.
